Outreach Peer Support

Outreach peers, funded by the managing entity Central Florida Behavioral Health Network, have built an extensive Narcan distribution network throughout Pinellas and Pasco Counties, with housing insecure support, direct homeless connections to care, and food insecurity support being addressed by the dedicated men and women creating and connecting recovery resources for Tampa Bay.

Peer Respite Services

The Recovery Epicenter Foundation Peer Respite program, and its flagship Peer Respite center nicknamed the Catchers Mitt, is designed to provide short term stabilization for participants who do not meet the threshold for emergency medical care and do not have the means to check themselves into a private facility.

Since opening, the Peer Respite 'Catchers Mitt' has provided short term stabilization and support to over 1,500 Florida citizens, with a 92% successful stabilization rate (mirroring traditional detox, treatment, and acute care statistics).

In an effort to expand the number of Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) accredited beds throughout Hillsborough county, there is an opportunity for your level 4 or level 2 home to obtain initial certification free of charge thanks to the Hillsborough Opioid Abatement funding.

If you'd like more information about this process please don't hesitate to contact us here at Recovery Epicenter Foundation (813-419-7095), the Florida Association of Recovery Residences (561-299-0405) or through their website farronline.org.

Recovery Advocacy

Recovery Epicenter Foundation will reach out into our community to provide resources and tools to persons with a substance use disorder as well as their families. Anyone who is struggling to maintain abstinence from mind altering substances will be offered connection and inclusion with our RCO regardless of their use status. Through regular check-ins with affected persons, and access to free Narcan, the goal of our >5% outreach campaign is to reduce opioid overdose deaths in the regions we serve.

Our advocacy work engages elected officials, community leaders and the public to dismantle stigma. We support multiple pathways to recovery, and we endorse the Recovery Bill of Rights.

Recovery Round Tables

We provide a monthly meeting in the counties that we operate in where stakeholders within the community come together to reduce barriers to recovery throughout the Tampa Bay area.

The Recovery Roundtable lists the dates.
